Lighting is the heart of every smart home. Designed well, it transforms the mood of a room at a single touch and uses less energy, while poorly planned lighting remains the biggest missed opportunity.
We explain the types of control available and how to choose the right one for every space.
Types of lighting control
There are three basic approaches: simple on/off switching, phase cut dimming for classic fixtures, and DALI for precise digital control. We combine them depending on the space and your wishes.

DALI for precise dimming
DALI enables smooth, flicker free dimming and individual addressing of every light. It is ideal for living areas, dining rooms and any space where you want more scenes.
Scenes that transform a space
Instead of switching lights one by one, scenes set the whole room at once: dinner, film, reading or cleaning. With Gira and Zennio KNX keypads, scenes are always within reach.
White temperature and circadian rhythm
Tunable white lighting changes the warmth of the light throughout the day, warmer in the morning and evening, cooler and more focused during the day, following your natural rhythm and supporting comfort and alertness.

Outdoor and architectural lighting
Lighting for the facade, garden and driveway connects to scenes and sensors, switching on at dusk or on motion detection, which also increases the security of your home.
How to plan your lighting
Good lighting design starts from the purpose of each space, not from the fixtures. We recommend:
- Define scenes for each space before choosing fixtures
- Plan for DALI wherever you want fine tuned moods
- Combine general, task and ambient lighting
- Include outdoor lighting in your security scenes
- Leave room for future upgrades
